NWHL
- Sarah Schwenzfeier scored the Connecticut Whale’s lone goal in their 4-1 defeat at the hands of the UConn Huskies on Sept. 28. Schwenzfeier failed to pick up a point in the four games she played with the Whale last season. She finished fourth in NCAA D-III scoring in her senior season at Norwich University in 2017-18.
- Audra Richards, who scored eight goals with the Riveters in her NWHL rookie season, scored the game-tying goal for the Minnesota Whitecaps in their 2-2 tie against the UMD Bulldogs. Richards led the way for Minnesota with seven shots on goal; veteran forward Allie Thunstrom finished close behind with six shots of her own./

- Whitecaps goaltender Allie Morse stopped 48 of the 50 shots she faced from the Bulldogs, making 22 saves in the third period alone.
- According to LIU’s official box score, Riveters rookie center Kendall Cornine scored two goals, picked up a primary assist and two secondary assists, and put 12 shots on net in the Riveters 10-3 rampage against the Sharks on Sept. 28. Cornine was RIT’s leading goal scorer in each of the last three seasons.
- Riveters rookie center Cailey Hutchison, recently named one of the team’s alternate captains for the 2019-20 season, won 69.23 percent of her faceoffs against the Sharks in addition to earning two primary assists on two Madison Packer goals and putting three shots on net.
- Beauts rookie defender Iveta Klimášová scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in Buffalo’s 2-1 win over Brock University. With that goal, Klimášová became the first Slovakian-born player to score for an NWHL team. /

SDHL
- Michela Cava had a had trick in Brynäs’ 4-3 win over Djurgårdens IF on Sept. 27. She scored one goal on the power play, one shorthanded goal, and one goal at even strength.
- Goaltender Anna Amholt stopped all 27 shots she faced against Luleå/MSSK on Sept. 27, leading HV71 to a 3-0 shutout victory. Luleå was never shut out by an opposing goaltender last season and finished the year with a dominant 4.60 GF/GP.
- Former Quinnipiac University captain and Team USA member Melissa Samoskevich picked up three points — all assists — in her first two games in the SDHL. Samoskevich is the lone American-born player on Brynäs./

- Swiss sensation Lara Stalder has now scored eight goals and picked up three assists in five games for Brynäs. Impressively, six of her eight goals have been scored at even strength — the other two were scored while her team was shorthanded. All three of her assists thus far have been picked up on the power play./
ZhHL
- After being kept out of the scoresheet in her first game of the 2019-20 season, Agidel Ufa superstar Olga Sosina has points in her last five games. In that five-game window, Sosina has scored five goals and notched six assists. She’s currently tied for the league lead in scoring with Fanuza Kadirova.
- SK Gorny defeated Dynamo St. Petersburg by one goal in back-to-back games on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2. Goaltender Yulia Artyomova, 20, stopped all 23 shots she faced from Dynamo in the first game of the back-to-back to earn her first shutout of the season.
- Biryusa’s Yekaterina Dobrodeeva has four goals in her last five games, but none bigger than her OT-winner against SKSO on Sept. 30. The 5-foot-1 forward has scored at least 10 goals in each of the last three seasons.
- Thus far in the 2019-20 ZhHL season, only five of the 104 goals scored have come from the sticks of defenders. SK Gorny’s Liana Ganeyeva has a commanding lead in shots on goal (36) among the ZhHL’s defenders./
