Longtime Inferno defender Jacquie Pierri retires
The Brown alumna spent her five year CWHL career in Calgary
Calgary Inferno defender and alternate captain Jacquie Pierri announced her retirement from the CWHL on Twitter yesterday evening.
With bittersweetness, it's time to announce that my time in the CW is up. I'm grateful knowing that I leave my @InfernoCWHL in great hands. In memory of my 5 seasons, I present #5YrsOfProgress: a thread. #Retirement #PlayTrue #LeavetheJerseyBetterThanYouFoundIt

Prior to the 2017-18 season, the stalwart defender had 10 points — all assists — in her first 95 regular season games. This year was a different story. The New Jersey native broke through with four goals and seven assists in 28 games for Calgary. Perhaps even more impressively, Pierri led her team with a +20 plus/minus.
We can safely say that the 27-year-old is retiring at the top of her game.
Pierri spent all five of her CWHL seasons in Calgary, which included a Clarkson Cup victory in 2016.
