The Ice Garden is excited to announce the first episode of our latest podcast, Checking the Box.
Checking the Box is co-hosted by player agent and partner of Cook Stark Hockey, Eleni Demestihas and The Ice Garden Managing Editor and owner, Mike Murphy. Checking the Box will be a monthly (roughly) PWHL and pro women's hockey-centric pod offering unique perspectives from behind the glow of a laptop screen and the agent's desk. For those who may not know, this podcast reunites two former co-hosts of the PHFuture Considerations pod, which was also a TIG podcast.
In this debut episode, Eleni and Mike discuss quirky PWHL contract rules, league parity, the upcoming trade deadline, and potential league expansion. That's right, this first episode is absolutely jam-packed and offers everything you could hope for, including a twist ending (because Mike accidentally broke something).
