No. 5 Colgate vs. Yale: ECAC Game of the Week
The Raiders look to stay undefeated against the Bulldogs
Who: No. 5 Colgate (10-0-1 overall, 3-0-0 in the ECAC) vs. Yale (4-1-1 overall, 2-1-1 in the ECAC)
When: Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at 6 p.m. ET
Where: Class of 1965 Arena (Hamilton, NY)
How to Watch: Patriot League Network
The Skinny
It’s frankly kind of a dog week in the ECAC, with many of the high fliers (hey there St. Lawrence, Clarkson and Princeton) playing some of the cellar dwellers (sorry Harvard, Dartmouth and Union).
A few games stand out, but the best of the bunch is Friday’s match-up between SB Nation No. 5 Colgate and Yale. The Raiders are coming off a three-win week that saw them knock off Cornell in Hamilton and sweep RIT in a home-and-home. The Bulldogs had a hot week themselves, stomping RPI 7-2 and beating up lowly Union 5-1, both in New Haven.
Colgate Players to Watch
#9 - Jessie Eldridge, Forward
Eldridge notched at least one assist in every game for the Raiders last week and currently leads the ECAC in both points (19) and assists (14). A former juniors scoring champion, the sophomore forward was tied for second on the team in points last year as a freshman (9 goals, 18 assists).
#33 - Julia Vandyk, Goaltender
The October ECAC Goaltender of the Month, the sophomore netminder is undefeated in nine contests this year, sporting a minuscule 1.11 goals against average and a solid .952 saves percentage, both second in the ECAC.

Yale Players to Watch
#88 - Phoebe Staenz, Forward
Staenz was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week on Tuesday after a blistering five-goal performance over the weekend, including a hat-trick against RPI. She is tied for second in the ECAC in goals (7) and the leader in plus/minus (+14). The 2013-14 USCHO Rookie of the Year, Staenz looks back on the form that helped her win the bronze with Switzerland in Sochi.
#95 - Krista Yip-Chuck, Forward
The senior captain is averaging 2 points a game for the Bulldogs on the young season after consecutive 20+ point campaigns in 2015-16 and 2014-15. She leads Yale in points and assists and is currently third in the ECAC in plus/minus (+12) as well as fourth in assists (8).

The Pick
The Bulldogs dropped both games against the Raiders in 2015-16 but look to be stronger than their 10-17-2 campaign from a year ago. Ultimately, though, Vandyk will prove too much between the posts and Colgate will prevail 4-1.
