This week we cover Week 5 of the 2017-18 NWHL season even though Skype tried its best to destroy us. Naturally, we were too crafty for Skype’s nonsense and found a way to record the show anyway.
Erica and Mike recap the Pride’s big win over the Buffalo Beauts and the Riveters 4-0 shutout over the Connecticut Whale. We also touch on what some of the teams have been doing right and what they need to get better at in our previews of Week 6’s action.
This week we also hit the listener mailbag for two questions that sparked an interesting discussion about the growth of the women’s game in an Olympic year as well as addressing the persistent question of why don’t the NWHL and CWHL just merge? More importantly, we both endorse an NWHL vs CWHL All-Star Game, because who doesn’t want to see that?
