Film Photo Gallery: PWHL Boston Beats PWHL Montréal in Semifinals
Take a look back at the Game 3 of the PWHL Boston versus Montréal semifinal through film photos!
I'm back again with another hockey game I shot on 35mm film!
This time it was Game 3 of the Semifinal between PWHL Boston and Montréal, the one where Boston won one minute into overtime to advance to the Walter Cup Finals. I have a full gallery of my digital photos from the game up already.
I admittedly wasn't as successful this time as I was the last time I shot a game on film back in February. This time I was at ice level and contending with shooting through the glass as opposed to over it. I had some metering issues plus the extra distortion/lack of sharpness from the thick glass. But it is also the corner where PWHL Montréal takes the ice, and that made for off-ice moments I haven't gotten this season.
Tech specs, if you care, are the same as last time. I had my trusty old Canon EOS Elan 7ne with modern 24-70 and a roll of Cinestill 800T shoot at 1600 ISO but processed at box speed. Lumentation, my preferred (and favorite) lab in Somerville, MA developed and scanned the film.
