LIVE from Hobey Baker Memorial Rink ... it’s The Founding 4 Podcast!
Featuring Luleå Hockey/MSSK head coach Fredrik Glader and Riveters head coach Randy Velischek
This week, in a special edition of the Founding 4 Podcast, Erica and Mike recorded the show live at the inaugural Champions Cup between Luleå Hockey/MSSK and the Metropolitan Riveters.
While making some in-game observations about the SDHL and NWHL champions and their historic meeting at Princeton’s Hobey Baker Memorial Rink, Erica and Mike discussed the retirement of Sam Faber, how the NWHL’s rosters have come together, and catch our listeners up with the rest of the NWHL’s current events.
You can also listen to this week’s show by clicking HERE.
We are also joined by Luleå head coach Fredrik Glader and new Riveters head coach, Randy Velischek. Both discuss the Champion Cup matchup, and what to expect from the SDHL and NWHL defending champions in the 2018-19 season.

Mike also give some insight on a new project by TIG’s own Alyssa Longmuir. Here is a breakdown of the Champions Cup from Even Strength:
On Saturday @LuleaHockey defeated the @Riveters 4-2 in the first #ChampionsCup and while the pbp data won't be going on the website we though we would share the games flow chart with you! pic.twitter.com/5A7foBEbWF

What Mike neglected to mention is he launched a project of his own hockey database, Behind the Benches! More women’s hockey stats, yay!
We will record another episode of the Founding4Pod ahead of opening weekend, so send in questions and conversation topics using #Founding4Pod! As always, be sure to check out our friends Hannah Bevis and Michelle Jay and their Top Shelf Podcast.
We are able to offer comprehensive women’s hockey coverage because of our patrons and listeners! Every like, listen, subscription, and review helps broaden our reach.
As always, thanks for listening and for spreading the word about our show! Be good to yourself and excellent to those around you, always.
Stick taps,
Erica & Mike
