Boston Pride at Connecticut Whale at 3 p.m. et — Twitter Game of the Week
The Whale are without Meeri Räisänen for the rest of the season, though the addition of Shenae Lundberg should help. She looked fantastic in her last outing — and her first in pro hockey in at least a year — which was also against the Pride. The game is a must-win for the Pride to keep their first-place dream alive.
CWHL
It’s the final weekend of CWHL play. The Calgary Inferno and KRS Vanke Rays both have wrapped up their regular seasons, with the Inferno clinching first place. Les Canadiennes de Montreal are in second, while third and fourth place are still really tight.
The Markham Thunder and Kunlun Red Stars are tied in points at 28 a piece. But, the Thunder still have three games left to play, with the chance for 34 points. The Thunder need a point in any game to stay in the playoffs.
The Toronto Furies have 22 points, and also have three games left to play, giving them a chance to reach 28 points — and to tie with KRS Vanke Rays. Since the CWHL confirmed the points tiebreak is Regulation and Overtime Wins, the Furies, who have 14 ROW, would bump out KRS Vanke Rays, who have 13. Basically, the Furies have to win out in regulation or overtime to make the playoffs — one loss and they’re out.
The Clarkson Cup is on March 24 in Toronto.
