Last Time Out
Surprising absolutely no one, Wednesday night’s outing went to overtime, with Marie-Philip Poulin scoring the winner for Canada.
Team USA got off to the stronger start, preventing Canada from getting shots off or even sustaining offensive possession for much of the period. In the second period, however, they grabbed the lead on a power-play goal from Poulin. Hilary Knight, who’s having a very strong pre-Olympic campaign, tied things up for the U.S. in the third directly following a 5-on-3 power play opportunity.
