Connecticut Whale at Metropolitan Riveters at 2 p.m. — The NWHL’s Twitter Game of the Week
Can the Whale make it two wins-in-a-row in Newark? Well, they will have their work cut out for them this time around. Kimberly Sass will be in net for the Riveters and Courtney Burke, Miye D’Oench, and Amanda Kessel will all be returning to the lineup, but will that be enough to spark the power play? The Riveters went 0-for-5 on the PP last weekend against the Whale and Meeri Räisänen.

Toronto Furies at the Markham Thunder at 7:30 p.m. ET
The Thunder have been playing better hockey after an underwhelming 2-3-0-0 start that featured two blowout wins against the Worcester Blades. Markham is 3-0-1-0 in their last four games and is returning from their China trip. Meanwhile, the Furies have lost their last four and are still searching for their offense. Through nine games the Furies have 14 goals, but they did manage to score six goals in their last two games against the Calgary Inferno.
Les Canadiennes de Montreal at the Calgary Inferno at 7:30 p.m. MT — CWHL Stream
This is going to be an outstanding series. Les Canadiennes and the Inferno are both coming into this weekend with a 7-1-0-0 record and they have only lost to one another.
“I think one of the most important things we have to focus on going into this weekend is playing our game and sticking to our own game-plan. Montreal is a highly skilled team, but so are we,” Inferno defender Kelly Murray shared in a press release. “If we get too caught up on focusing on their strengths, we could lose sight of our own.”
Hilary Knight, Ann-Sophie Bettez. and Rebecca Johnston all have three game scoring streaks on the line. Bettez has eight points in her last three games for Les Canadiennes.
