Marchment, Whale agree to new contract terms for Year Nine
The dynamic forward agrees to a new salary for the second year of her contract with Connecticut.
The Connecticut Whale announced Tuesday morning that they have come to new contract terms with forward Kennedy Marchment for the second year of her two-year deal.
Marchment will be earning a salary of $130,000 for her third season in the PHF, an increase that reflects not just the cap increase for this year but her sizable contributions to her team.
The Courtice, Ont. native tallied 30-plus points in each of her first two years in Connecticut, finishing last season with 35 points and a record 18-game point scoring streak for her club. She led the league in game-winning goals as well. Marchment also earned MVP honors her first season in 2022-23 and was in voting talks for MVP this year (an honor that ultimately went to Boston's Loren Gabel).
This announcement also marks the first time Marchment and the Whale have disclosed Marchment's salary in her soon-to-be three seasons with Connecticut. As mentioned in previous stories, players have the option to disclose terms and numbers as this information evolves to become more public.
