Montréal Victoire Sign Catherine Daoust, Move Amanda Boulier to LTIR
A defender in and a defender to LTIR as the Victoire make some post-Christmas roster moves.
The Montréal Victoire have signed defender Catherine Daoust from the team's reserve list to a Standard Player Agreement (SPA), the PWHL announced on Dec. 26th.
"We have the luxury of having an experienced player like Catherine on our reserve team," Victoire general manager Danièle Sauvageau said in the league's press release. "She knows the league well, having played in all our games last season, and we're sure she'll be ready for the challenge ahead of us."
Daoust, 29, spent last season with PWHL Montréal, suiting up for all 24 games and tallying two points (one goal, one assist). Her signing follows fellow defender Amanda Boulier being put on long-term injury reserve after sustaining an upper-body injury on Dec. 21st prior to the holiday break.
The Montréal Victoire return to action on Dec. 28th, when they'll face the Minnesota Frost away from home in the State of Hockey.
