PWHL Minnesota Announces New General Manager
Minnesota native Melissa Caruso joins PWHL Minnesota as GM.
On Tuesday, PWHL Minnesota announced Melissa Caruso will take on the role of General Manager.
Caruso, a Minnesota native, spent the last 15 seasons with the AHL, most recently as Vice President of Hockey Operations and Governance.
"[Melissa's] strong background in operations and governance, combined with her extensive hockey knowledge and leadership experience, make her a great fit for the role," Jayna Hefford, PWHL Senior VP of Hockey Operations said in the release.
PWHL Minnesota has been without a permanent General Manager since parting ways with Natalie Darwitz in June.
"It's an exciting time for women's sports and I thank leadership for trusting me with the opportunity to lead PWHL Minnesota during these crucial formative years for the league," Caruso said, "I can't wait to get started on the journey to defend the Walter Cup in Season Two."
