PWHL Surpasses One Million Fans
The PWHL reached a new women's hockey attendance milestone.

The Professional Women's Hockey League has announced a historic milestone as they have now surpassed one million fans following an impressive attendance of 14,288 in Detroit featuring the Minnesota Frost and New York Sirens at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday, March 16.

During the in-arena announcement, both teams handed out commemorative pucks to celebrate the milestone. As per the league, the PWHL's total league attendance currently stands at 1,001,648 fans since the inaugural game on Jan. 1, 2024. In the league's second season they have already exceeded last season's total attendance number of 483,530 fans (72 regular-season games and 13 playoff games), with 518,118 fans attending 70 games to date this regular season.

Sunday's Takeover Tour game in Detroit also set a new U.S. attendance record for professional women’s hockey. With an impressive 14,288 people in attendance at Little Caesars Arena, this is now the second time Detroit has set the U.S. women's professional hockey attendance record.
