Takes on the Takeover Tour: Vancouver Edition
Maya checked out the Takeover Tour in Vancouver and captured her experience in a vlog.
I kicked off 2025 with a bang by heading to my first PWHL game! With the West Coast getting a little taste of women's hockey again, I made the (much closer than usual) trip to watch the Toronto Sceptres take on the Montréal Victoire at Rogers Arena.
Not only was it fantastic hockey to watch, especially with Captain Clutch Marie-Philip Poulin notching two goals at the same rink where she did the same to help Canada win Olympic gold in 2010, but the atmosphere was so much fun. Over 19,000 people turned out to watch the game and they were loud! It was amazing to see young girls' teams get to watch professional women's hockey, which is something I very rarely got to do when I played minor hockey. Those of us who have been waiting for this type of impact for most of our lives witnessed an awesome evening.
And of course, I vlogged it all for you!
I'll be headed to Edmonton in February to see the Victoire and the Charge play, so stay tuned for another vlog!
