Canada announces final roster for 2018 Olympic Games

Canada announced its final Olympic roster on Friday. Final cuts to the team were forward Sarah Potomak and defenders Halli Krzyzaniak and Micah Zandee-Hart.

Potomak played at the 2017 World Championships and registered two goals and one assist. She had five goals and seven assists throughout centralization, both internationally and against midget boys teams. Zandee-Hart's only previous experience with the senior team was during the 2016 December Series. She had five assists through centralization. Krzyzaniak was a top-four defender at the 2015, 2016, and 2017 World Championships. She has two goals and four assists through three Worlds Championships and had four assists during centralization.

Canada's roster features 14 forwards and just six defenders, a bold choice going into a short tournament.
