The Founding 4 Podcast: Episode 13
Goaltending duels, officiating, and Mike still can’t say Gagliardi correctly.
It’s podcast number 13! But don’t worry friends with triskaidekaphobia, because with all of the TIG Extras Podcasts that Erica has put out, we are safe from the number 13.
This week Erica and Mike break down two nail-biters from January 27, including arguably the best goaltending duel in NWHL history. Seriously, did you see that 10 round shootout and the clinic that Brittany Ott and Amanda Leveille put on? Un-be-lievable.
The other NWHL game from last weekend had Riveters fans chewing on their fingernails. The Whale took a quick two goal lead, but allowed the Riveters to get back into the game with power play opportunities. The game eventually went into overtime where the Riveters scored with just 32 seconds left on the clock. Brutal.
We also answer some listener questions, including a thought-provoking question about the NWHL’s officials. We love to hear from you guys and talk about the topics that you want covered. Have a favorite player you want our opinion on? A question about special teams? Scoring trends? Goaltending? Let us know by using the hashtag #Founding4Pod on Twitter.
