The Pride swept the Whitecaps while Les Canadiennes has multiple players break records

This weekend in NCAA was so crazy that it gets its own section. Northeastern topped Boston College before falling to the newest D1 school, Holy Cross. BC got swept by Boston University in a home-and-home. Colgate beat Clarkson and St. Lawrence. Add in losing to Cornell, and Clarkson struggled this weekend. And that’s just the teams in our NCAA Poll.

Sat. Dec. 1

Boston Pride beat Minnesota Whitecaps in St. Paul; 5 - 1

Goals

The Pride handed the Whitecaps their first loss on the season Saturday night with a commanding win. Souliotis got her first career NWHL goal. Katie Burt stopped 36 shots for the Pride while Amanda Leveille stopped 21 of the 26 she saw.

Boston Pride beat Minnesota Whitecaps in St. Paul; 7 - 2

The second loss of the Whitecaps season came quick as the Pride swept on the weekend. Burt stopped another 26 shots, putting her weekend total at 62 saves. Leveille was pulled after the first three goals giving Julie Friend her first time in net in the NWHL. She saw 19 shots, saving 15 of them.

Connecticut Whale beat Metropolitan Riveters in Pittsburgh, 4 - 0

Happy birthday Meeri Räisänen! The first Finn in the NWHL got her first NWHL shutout as well as the Whale’s first regular season shutout ever on her birthday. The Riveters continue to struggle falling to 2-7 with seven games left in their regular season. Nina Rodgers got her first NWHL goal.
