The Riveters had Kessel, Miye D’Oench, and Courtney Burke back in the lineup on Sunday, so we were expecting to see a different Riveters team on Sunday. What we got was something of a mixed bag. The Riveters found a way to win against the Connecticut Whale thanks to a hat trick from rookie forward Audra Richards and a shootout goal from Amanda Kessel. The Whale’s international players stood out, especially Katerina Mrazova who put up two goals, including a shorthanded tally.
