WHKYHAC 2024

For those who may have missed it, WHKYHAC 2024 took place Aug. 17-18. WHKYHAC is a one-of-its-kind virtual and free women's hockey analytics conference that has strong ties to The Ice Garden. The conference is primarily organized by former TIG contributor Alyssa Longmuir and current TIG crew Carlie Markey and Mike Murphy. This year's event was the third installment of the conference and the first time it was spread across two days.

WHKYHAC 2024 featured an insightful player agent panel with Jessica Ekrt and Eleni Demestihas, a media panel with Scott Wheeler and Dom Luszczyszyn of The Athletic, and several must-see presentations, including a dive into goalie stats from TIG's Geremy McFadden. That's not all! The conference also had two mini-pods with Shayna Goldman from the Too Many Men podcast and Julia Tocheri from the Jocks in Jills podcast.

In short, there was something for everyone who has an interest in women's hockey data. And the best part is that if you missed it, you can watch the entirety of the conference on YouTube for free. The video for Day One is embedded below.
